Search Entries
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Missouri Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its handling of the query and any later interaction.
Messages to the Site
If you send an email or use an available contact form, we keep the message and contact details as needed to reply and manage the exchange. We do not share a message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Basic technical and usage details may be recorded when a page loads. This data helps operate, secure, and improve the site. It may include:

Websites Beyond Our Control
Missouri Released Inmates links to MODOC, Missouri Courts, county sheriffs, jail and facility pages, federal locators, locality sites, and independent search services. Some official records are governed by Missouri's Sunshine Law in Chapter 610, but each outside site applies its own privacy policy to activity after a visitor follows a link.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across different websites and choose interest-based ads. That tracking occurs under the provider's practices, not as a Missouri Released Inmates record.
Limited Data Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available only to parties that perform a defined service or when the law requires disclosure:
- Search providers that process submitted queries
- Analytics companies that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical practices are used to protect information within our control. No website, internet connection, or storage system is immune from every risk. We cannot promise that data will never be intercepted, lost, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
